- Instead of looking for the closest parking spot at the store, don't hesitate to park further away and walk the extra distance.
- Use stairs opposed to elevators
- Drink lots of water...preferably 8 cups per day
- If you don't like to go to the gym, walk around the block a couple times each day. Or if you are a dog owner, take your dog on walks daily. Good exercise for you and your pet!
- Eat a good breakfast-including eggs, wheat toast, and natural juice
- Stop eating when you feel full...don't go overboard
- Buy more fruits, vegetables, and other healthy snacks opposed to candy, ice cream, and other sweets.
- Do not eat past nine o'clock at night.
- Ride your bike or walk to the grocery store instead of driving.
- Join a recreational sport team. It's a great way to meet people in your community too!

I work in the JSB on BYU campus and it only has 3 floors. I work on the 3rd floor and never take the elevator. I always feel bummed when I see people take the elevator b/c it's only 3 flights of stairs. I am always especially shocked when people use the elevator to go up one floor!
